Your CRM is full of leads that were qualified once, forever ago

"Not now" from last year might be "yes" today: the company raised, the team doubled, the champion got promoted. But nobody re-researches old contacts by hand, so the CRM quietly becomes a graveyard of assessments that were correct at the time and are wrong now. The leads didn't die; the information did.

From dormant contacts to reasons to reconnect

Pick the contacts you want another look at; LeadSmarts does the re-research and matches everything back to your CRM.

  1. Export the contacts you want to revisit from your CRM as a CSV (a saved view or list works fine).
  2. Upload the list to LeadSmarts.
  3. Each contact is automatically matched back to its CRM record.
  4. LeadSmarts researches what's changed: funding, headcount, leadership, product, hiring.
  5. Each contact gets a current priority: Hot, Warm, or Cold.
  6. The evidence shows exactly what changed since the last assessment.
  7. A re-engagement draft is prepared, opening with the change, not "just checking in."
  8. Your rep reviews the findings and decides who's worth reconnecting with.
  9. The new findings are written back to the CRM record as a fresh, dated note.

What a revival looks like

LeadSmarts qualification

Result: Warm (readiness 64/100)

Recommended next action: prioritize

Reason: Since the last assessment, Fieldline raised a Series A and grew from 12 to 31 people, moving into the target size range. The original "too early" objection no longer holds; the first ops hire suggests process pain is arriving.

Draft opener: "Congrats on the Series A. When we spoke in November you said 'too early'; at 31 people, it might be exactly the right time…"

The history stays in your CRM

Every requalification is written back to the matched record as a new, dated note, so your CRM keeps a chronological history of how each lead's situation has evolved.

  • Old assessments are never overwritten; nothing in your CRM is modified or deleted.
  • Reps see the previous context and the fresh findings side by side, on the record.
  • Works with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Attio, and Freshsales connections.

Good candidates for a revival run

  • Closed-lost deals where the objection was timing or budget.
  • Leads that went quiet more than six months ago.
  • Contacts qualified before a funding round, acquisition, or leadership change.
  • Last year's event leads that never got a second touch.

Your reps stay in charge

LeadSmarts finds the change and drafts the re-engagement message. Your reps decide whether the moment is right and what actually gets sent. Nothing goes out automatically.

For sales reps

Reconnect with a reason: "congrats on the Series A" beats "just checking in" every time it's sent.

For managers & founders

The pipeline you already paid to acquire gets a second life, with a consistent, recorded process instead of whoever happens to remember an old lead.

Questions

Can LeadSmarts pull contacts directly from my CRM?

Not yet. Today you export the contacts you want to revisit as a CSV from your CRM and upload it. LeadSmarts automatically matches each contact back to its CRM record, so the fresh findings still land on the right record as a note. Selecting contacts directly inside LeadSmarts is on the roadmap.

Which contacts are worth requalifying?

Closed-lost deals past their timing objection, leads that went quiet six months ago, and contacts qualified before a funding round, leadership change, or expansion. Companies change; a Cold from last winter can be a Hot today.

Does requalifying overwrite the old assessment in my CRM?

No. Each run adds a new dated note to the record, so the CRM keeps a chronological history of how the lead's situation has evolved. Nothing in your CRM is modified or deleted.

Does LeadSmarts contact the revived leads?

Never. It drafts a re-engagement message grounded in what changed; your rep reviews, edits, and sends it from their own tools.

Does re-researching a contact cost a credit?

Yes: a fresh research run on a contact spends one credit, like any researched lead. Re-opening past results is always free.
